The making of… a cruiser board

on February 10 | in Create, Inspire, Play | by | with No Comments

What do you do if your son wants a cruiser board, but can’t find a good one fitting his budget? You do it your self. So we bought 3 sheets of birch-plywood, glued them together, put them in a self-made mould overnight, sketched out the shape, cut out the shape, sanded it as smooth as we could, drilled 8 holes, picked a design, covered the base of the deck with masking tape, sketched the design on the masking tape, cut out the parts we had to spray paint, spray-painted 4 different colours, varnished it, cut out three stripes and his name out of the grid tape, put the grid tape on the deck, cut off the excess grid tape and put on the trucks.  There he has his personalised cruiser board! It was really cool finding out how to do this, making the designs and doing the handwork together. Loved it.
